Category L2 Fire Alarm System

A Category L2 fire alarm system using Kentec Taktis fire alarm technology with Hochiki protocol was installed to provide comprehensive fire detection and life-safety protection throughout the development.

Disabled Refuge & WC Alarm Systems

Baldwin Boxall disabled refuge and WC alarm systems were installed to provide essential communication and assistance facilities for building users, supporting the building’s wider life-safety strategy.

Access Control

Salto access control technology was installed to provide secure and flexible access management, helping control movement throughout the building while supporting the client’s operational requirements.

Intruder Detection

Orisec intruder detection systems formed part of the building’s wider electronic security infrastructure, providing an additional layer of protection for the development.

CCTV Security Systems

Hikvision CCTV technology was deployed to provide visual monitoring and security coverage across the building, supporting effective security management and incident monitoring.

Intercom Systems

Integrated intercom systems were delivered to support communication and controlled access across the development, forming part of the building’s wider security and communications infrastructure.

Smart Building Infrastructure

With multiple specialist systems being delivered within the same construction programme, close coordination between contractors, consultants and the wider project team was essential.

Smartec managed the delivery of the systems from initial design and specification through installation, testing, commissioning and final handover.

A proactive approach to project management helped maintain progress throughout the 10-month programme, while close attention to quality, coordination and system integration ensured each installation met the required project standards and performance requirements.

This integrated approach helped ensure the building’s critical life-safety, security and technology systems were delivered as a coordinated package rather than as standalone installations.

The completed building was fully operational and ready for occupation, with the installed systems tested, commissioned and handed over as part of the final project delivery.
